The Rubric API is versioned via the URL path. The current version is v1.

Stability Guarantees

Stable Endpoints

Endpoints marked as stable will not have breaking changes within a major version:
  • Request/response fields will not be removed
  • Required parameters will not be added
  • Field types will not change

Beta Endpoints

Some endpoints are marked as beta and may change:

Deprecation Policy

When deprecating features:
  1. 6 months notice before removal
  2. Deprecation header in responses: X-Rubric-Deprecated: true
  3. Migration guide in documentation
  4. Email notification to affected users
